Missing Propane Cylinder Collar
A profile picture of a propane cylinder with no collar. The fittings screwed into the top of the cylinder are to depict the damage that can be done to a cylinder valve when the neck ring is missing. Notice that the brass fittings are slanted to the left. The cylinder valve was damaged with such might that the steel shell was bent by the force of the blow. Had the cylinder's protective collar been in place, it may have been bent instead of the valve. Luckily, the valve was not sheared off. This picture depicts the necessity of a propane cylinder protective collar.
